First Ind-Pak Meet on 18th SAARC: Sushma Swaraj & Sartaj Aziz

On the occassion of 18th SAARC Summit in Kathmandu, Nepal External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has met her Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz.

This is first India-Pakistan meet in the latest edition of SAARC Summit in Nepal's capital where both ministers had a brief exchange of words which is supposed to be regarding a possible informal meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif.

The foreign and external affairs ministers are attending the 36th meeting of the SAARC Council of Ministers today.

Sushma had arrived in Kathmandu yesterday to attend the 18th SAARC Summit.

The meeting, hosted by the Nepalese Foreign Minister, Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, will be attended by the ministers of all SAARC nations - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
